'Photo taken at annual Harvest Festival. My grandmother took Michael and I each year. There was a scarecrow-making contest and apple-cider pressing, among other things. I remember making scarecrows for the contest. I've spent a large part of my career working at agricultural and rural life living history museums, thanks to early experiences at the Harvest Festival. You never know what early experience turns out to be important. Pictured, from left to right: unidentified, unidentified, Michael Atherton (brother), Anne E. Atherton (grandmother), Mary Anne Fields, and Susan Atherton. Location: Berkshire Garden Center.'
