Haitian Creole Summer Institute, UMass Boston 2008
Description:
'It was the last day of class and certificats were distributed to students. Our final projects were just completed. We were all supposed to do presentations using our new language skills. Lots of laughter and lots of heartfelt momentos of joy and pride as students showcased their talents and creativity in Haitian Creole. Our classes were held in McCormack Hall. The course was taught by a group of fantastic and engaging instructors who rotated throughout the evening so students were exposed to different dialects and styles. The institute has been held at UMass Boston for nearly 30 years! Dr. Marc Prou is director.
