'Dr. William H. Marnell, my college professor at Boston State from 1965-1968. He inspired and encouraged me as no one else ever did. His influence was so meaningful to me that I named my son after him. Dr. Marnell had no children and I saw this as a way to keep his memory and legacy alive to me. My son had the privilege to know Dr. Marnell. We kept in touch with Dr. Marnell and his wife, another respected Professor at Boston State, Clare Marnell. I recall Dr. Marnell commenting that 'she fit me to the T.''
