'My mother, Frances O'Connor, went to Ireland to join her family for one year when she was 16. Her father left Needham, MA with his wife (Ellen Spillane O'Connor) and three youngest children to help on his father's farm in Clonakilty. The older children remained at home in Needham. The family came home to America because, as my grandfather told his father: my home is in America now. Picture: my mother Frances Virginia O'Connor Cassidy, and Polly the donkey.'
