'I found this photo in the family Bible. Joseph came to America in early 1856. He settled in Stoughton, MA in house on 49 Winter St. with wife Mary Ellen Barry (1829-1882). They had immigrated from County Clare, Ireland. They had a daughter, Mary Ellen, who with her family continued living in the Winter St. house. Joseph played a huge role in bringing the Sisters of St. Joseph to Stoughton by purchasing land across the street from 49 Winter St. for the Archdiocese of Boston. It became the convent. Joseph became a US citizen 10/26/1858. Pictured: Joseph Rowen.'
