252 Cedar Street Stoughton, MA - under construction 1966
Description:
'This was the last house built in Stoughton by well-known local builder Amos P. Fredericks. He was assistant building inspector at the time and went on to be building inspector full-time. He built one other house after this one for one of his sons. That house was in Easton, MA. We cleared the lot by ourselves, using a borrowed chainsaw. Then moving logs and brush by hand. Paint and finishes were all applied by the owners. Also, loam was spread by hand using a shovel, wheelbarrow and rake by the homeowners. Pictured: Amos P. Fredericks, on scaffold.'
