'A picture of seven New Bedford women and environs. The women were honored by the YWCA of Southeastern Massachusetts for their work on key issues facing women, girls, and people of color. This is particularly important to me because I was chosen to receive the first Yvonne M. Drayton Award, which was a great honor to me, and I will treasure it always. This was the first year of the award, and I was the first recipient. Yvonne Drayton was a YWCA Director for seventeen years, and I served on the board for that whole time. Another contributor to the New Bedford Mass. Memories Road Show (Linda Whyte Burrell) was Yvonne's sister. Pictured, from back to front, left to right: Cecelia Felix (top left), Pauline Garceloni (top right), Marlene Tavares (second, top left), Marie-Frances Rivera (second down on right), Christina Bascom (bottom right), and Bernadette Scuza (bottom left). These others also received different awards. Location: Country Club.'
