'This is, to my knowledge, the earliest photograph taken of my family in the U.S. Most early photos I have were taken in studios. This was taken (probably by my great-grandfather) outside. The three boys were born in Quebec Province. The little girl, Aldea, was born in New Bedford. Hector and Donat worked in the mills. Donat founded a hardware store in 1924, located at 1837 Acushnet Ave., called Bourassa Hardware. It is still there today. My sister, Therese Bourassa-Bernier, and I, Gerard Bourassa, are the current owners. Zephyr passed away at the age of 15 from appendicitis. He was a telegraph boy. Aldea worked in the mills and lived to a ripe old age. Pictured: Zephyr Bourassa, Hector Bourassa, Donat Bourassa, and Aldea Bourassa.'
