'The backdrop to this photo is the East Monponsett Lake. The picture would have been taken on the road in front of the Hotel Monponsett. Moritz Schindler, my husband's great-grandfather, was the proprietor of the hotel. I have done much research on the Schindlers in Monponsett and continue to have many questions, however, I do know that many people visited the hotel from Boston, arriving at the nearby Monponsett Station. It's possible that on occasion Moritz would drive to the station to pick up hotel guests. Pictured: Moritz Schindler (driver) and unidentified passengers.'
