'Bay State Cruises was on Long Wharf in Boston. Edward Rowe Snow led tours on George's Island and narrated countless trips on the Bay State boats. In the formative years of the Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands (1979-1982) the organization was known as the Boston Harbor Islands Volunteer Corps. Mr. Snow was an honorary member. Everyone in this photo is wearing the official BHIVC cap. Suzanne is wearing the shirt. Bay State Cruises was one of the original boat companies that provided service to George's Island.
