Description:
'Walter attended the Thompson Island Farm and Trade School from 1930 to 1934. He was sent here by his father, who was sick with cancer and wanted his sons to learn a trade. This photo shows Walter in the school uniform. Walter graduated in 1934. Had many jobs and built bridges overseas in WWII in the Navy. Walter died in 2003. He was my grandfather-in-law.'
