'John Joseph (father) was sick with stomach cancer. The boys' mother passed away when the boys were young. John Joseph wanted his boys to have a trade, so he used his life savings to send his kids to the Farm and Trade School. John Joseph died while the boys were at the school. John Alison attended October 23, 1930 to June 1993. Walter Gordon attended October 23, 1930 to June 1934. Walter went on to build storefronts, drove a laundry truck, worked in the shipyard building The Massachusetts, joined the Navy in 1941, and built bridges during WWII. After the war, he worked for Polaroid for 30+ years. Walter was my grandfather-in-law. He lived with us before he died in 2002.
