'Thomas 'Red' Crotty is pictured here with other kids from the West End on a Navy Whaleboat, called 'Triumph of Righteousness.' I'm not in this photo, but we would take the boat out on nights and weekends in the river and the harbor. Thomas Crotty is a famous artist in Maine now, with his own gallery. Also in the photo are my sister-in-law Sheila Katz and Joe Joe Lee.'
