'Ms. Dorothy Slamin Hill, a graduate of Waltham High School, was a renowned band leader of the Waltham American Legion Post 156 Band. This band performed all over the United States and overseas, including the Red Square in Moscow, Russia. Her extensive collection of memorabilia was donated to the Waltham Historical Society by her brother, Mr. James Slamin, in 1999. Pictured: President of the Waltham Historical Society Joan M.
