'Beautiful picture of Pearl Seelig--my father's mother. She died in approximately 1983. I don't remember a lot about her, but my siblings tell me I adored her. Her family was from Germany originally, but had been in the US for at least one generation when she was born. I believe her family came in the 'second wave' of Jewish immigrants from Germany.
