'The Unitarian Church of Sharon had a tradition of celebrating Santa Lucia, a Swedish Christmas tradition. During Santa Lucia the oldest daughter in the house make's sweet breakfast buns and serves them to the family. The teens in these photos are dressed in the traditional white robes, with red sashes and crowns of lingonberry leaves and candles. During the service, where winter traditions from several faiths are recognized. After the service, congregants enjoy the buns. Santa Lucia has been a tradition at the Sharon Church since about the 1960s started by a member with Swedish roots.'
