'Children who were patients at the Sharon Sanatorium, Children's Pavilion. They lived and attended school in the building. The room became the research library of the Kendall Whaling Museum, which was open in the building from 1956-2001. The Sanatorium treated both adults and children for tuberculosis and other pulmonary diseases. The frieze over the mantel shows playing children and remained at the museum. Location: Sharon Sanatorium, later the Kendall Whaling Museum, Moose Hill, Everett Street.'
