BTU newspaper article from Convention '1999'--Distinguished Service Awards
Description:
'I was awarded a Distinguished Service Award to honor me for my work on special education issues and initiatives. I had testified for two arbitrations--one clerk per Evaluation Team Leader (ETL) and Special Education Information Systems (SEIMS) periods. Both were important because they set precedents for large groups of people. The clerk arbitration was the biggest arbitration to date for the BTU (about $100,000) and the SEIMS arbitration resulted in setthing the path for elementrary planning and development periods.
