'Sydney Chafee, Teacher of the Year, addresses the BTU monthly membership meeting. Around the same time, MTA refused to allow her to speak to their membership because she was a charter school teacher. This was also shortly after the defeat of the ballot question number two. Also around the same time, the BTU organized their first commonwealth charter schools (City on a Hill). Pictured, from left to right: Erik Berg, Betsy Drinan, Jessica Tang, and Sydney Chaffee.
