'This flag and bike plackards were from a club that my dad started back in the late 1930s and it grew to well over 100 members. The club used to be guides for the bike trains that came to the area (Canaan, Conn.) back in the day from New York City and such. My dad also had his own bike shop and rented bikes as well as selling and servicing bikes right up until 1978, also right here in Canaan. I have more items from this historic bike club as well.'
