'This is my cousin Fernando's passport picture when he came to the U.S. around 1967. He must have been around 15. Upon arrival in New Bedford, he went to work for our uncle Joe Cardoza aboard the 'Connie-F.' He was the only man in the Cardoso de Sá family who stuck with fishing. He owned the 'Southern Crusader' and the 'Voyager I,' which he sold to Carlos Rafeal in or around 2014. Pictured: Manuel Fernando sa Marques.'
