Boston City Council proceedings June-July 1951, copy of original stenographic record. Original is in the City of Boston Archives.
Description:
'My father, City Councillor John J. McColgan, protested against an amendment to zone part of parcel as industrial and against construction dumping trash into the harbor. Referencing the proponents of industrial zoning: 'I never saw such a selfish group in all my life. They were all trying to get their slice. Either the Boston Housing Authority is very stupid or somebody is making money on it, and looking over the members of the Housing Authority, I didn't see any stupid members.' Pictured, from left to right: John J. McColgan (Ward 7), William Hanna (Ward 13), John B. Wenzle (Ward 6), and William Hurley, City Council President. Location: City Hall Chamber, Boston City Hall.'
