A brass or gold button with shank. Hemispheric top decorated with eagle holding arrows and shield with stars surrounding. Underside stamped "EXTRA QUALITY." Note reads "from the uniform of Lafayette Culver (Lt.). They went though every battle but Great Antietam, and one other. (They have been gold washed)"
