- Gymnastics Competition, tumbling work, c. 1915
This photograph shows tumbling work at a Gymnastics Competition taking place in the lawn before a large house. There are different YMCA state representatives, as can be seen by the insignias on their t-shirts. The exact location is unknown. The competitors are surrounded by people seated in chairs or on the ground who came to see them. Notice the three girls sitting on the porch roof. This was one of the entertainments of the time. It is believed that this competition took place sometime around 1915.
