The team finished the 1976 season with a record of 14 wins and 8 losses. This was the final season of Cox's 22 year coaching career at Springfield College. He ended his career with an overall record of 156 wins and 61 losses, a winning percentage of .718. Assistant coach Ken Klatka took over the team and has been head coach for 37 seasons (as of 2013).
