Letter from Hazel (Cogswell) Stowell to Bertha (Billings) Fisher
Description:
Hazel (Cogswell) Stowell writes Bertha (Billings) Fisher to provide an update on how the town is recovering from the 1938 New England Hurricane. She recounts her trip to the Belchertown Fair with Ralph and Audrey [Stowell], and provides brief updates on ladies’ meetings, card parties, a trustees meeting with dinner at Cogswell Manor, Socony banquet, and movies she has been to see recently. Hazel also makes note of what other people from town have been up to. Attached is a typed copy of the letter accompanied by notes about individuals and places mentioned in the letter.
