Description:
The cover is fading black and has a vine pattern embossed. In the canter, there is an inset with "the token album" printed in serifed gold lettering. There is a gold image in the middle of an angel holding a horn while leaning on a urn; surrounded by a scroll, a harp, a book, a painting pallette, another scroll, and a bird. the same image is on the back cover, but with floral details around the edges. The binding is frayed, the front cover and first three pages are detached. The next ten pages are also detached. 54 pages. The pages have gilded edges. Two are green, two are blue, the rest are light brown. They contain signatures, short and long notes, and images. The first page states that the token album was given to Louisa as a New Year's present from her father in 1857, when she was 11 years old. A note from her parents is also included. The book contains several notes and poems about friendship. Names from people at Cotting Academy. trascriptions are in the notes and legal section. the last page has a shadow from a photograph of a woman in a wedding dress.
