Cylindrical hanging scale. Spring is encased in a black enamel-coated metal cylinder (3 3/4" circumference). A metal plate riveted to the cylinder bears stamped lettering reading "Chatillon" and stamped numbers indicating pounds (1-50). A spring is partly visible behind the plate. Spring, plate, cylinder, and all parts of the scale show rust. At each end of the cynlinder is a cap forming a loop or eye. A metal ring is attached to the upper end and a metal hook to the lower end.
