  <mods:abstract>Original typed letter from George Williams' secretary, W.H. Mills, regarding Sir George Williams recording of an address to the International YMCA Training School, now Springfield College, for their YMCA Jubilee celebrations held on June 6, 1894. In this letter, Mills confirms that Williams has written and recorded an address to the Springfield College Jubilee Class of 1894 and that the recording has been sent to the Secretary of the International Training School. The letter also indicates that Williams will be honored with Knighthood.</mods:abstract>
  <mods:note>Williams founded the YMCA in London, England in 1844. The movement spread rapidly throughout the continent and to North America. Fifty years after founding the YMCA, Williams was knighted by Queen Victoria. Sir George Williams died in 1905 and was buried in St. Paul's Cathedral.</mods:note>
