A photomechanical print of an engraving of Lamb Tavern, also known as the White Lamb, which was located on the west side of Washington Street, between West Street and Boylston Street, in Boston, Massachusetts. Two men converse in the doorway underneath the tavern sign while pedestrians pass by and a gig with two passengers drives past. The Boston Hotel can be seen to the left of the tavern. The first Adams House hotel replaced the tavern at this site in 1846. In the lower left corner is the signature, "J.R. Penniman, del." and in the lower right corner is the signature, "A. Bowen, S(?)."
