View of the Cottage Club and Pier from Terrace Gables, Falmouth Heights, Mass., undated
Description:
An exterior view of the Cottage Club and Pier from the Terrace Gables hotel across Grand Avenue in Falmouth Heights, Massachusetts. William Tobey built the Dutch Colonial style, gambrel-roof structure after the original Casino was destroyed by fire in 1909. The building also included a post office and movie theater. People line up on the pier to board a launch for a cruise while others stroll along the boardwalk. In the later 1910s, the name changed to the Cottage Club and in the 1960s changed to the Casino or Casino-by-the-Sea. Casino Wharf FX now occupies this site.
