The owners of the John Hancock mansion are asked to save the property. This lithograph is an early attempt at landmark preservation. These broadsides were engraved by John Sartain and published by T. O. H. P. (Thomas Oliver Hazard Perry) "Alphabet" Burnham, and they were distributed in Boston on the evening of June 5, 1863.
