The National Peace Jubilee was a music festival held June 15-19, 1869 in Boston to commemorate the end of the Civil War. The Boston Coliseum, which housed the event, was designed by William Preston and intended to be a temporary structure. The event was organized by composer and bandmaster Patrick Gilmore. Two contracting company names are printed on the front. The materials contractors are George B. James & Co., lumber dealers, 14 State Street, Boston. Building contractors are Judah Sears & Son, builders, South Boston.
