Letter from Benjamin Smith Lyman to J. Peter Lesley
Description:
Lyman discusses a balance of accounts with Dr. Howe, the location of his notes on Broad Top Mountain for producing an additional map, and Mr. Winsor's disgust with the results of the Pennsylvania elections. He details social engagements with Mr. Winsor and Mr. Lesquereux. Lyman apprizes Mr. Lesley on his progress in Virginia, and informs him that he is finding Lesley's paper for the Philosophical Society, regarding the coal of the region, useful.
