Notification by Western Union telegram that Naval Commander Stanley Walter Lipski was reported missing in action on July 30, 1945: "To prevent possible aid to our enemies please do not divulge the name of his ship or station unless the general circumstances are made public in news stories. Please wire Bureau collect immediately address your sons wife Mrs Sigrid Johnson Lipski." Although addressed to Stanley Walter Lipski (killed in action aboard the USS Indianapolis), the recipient was Lipksi's father, Antoni Lipski.
