Concerning the nomination of officers, the death of board member Harriet Ivins Backus, a financial report, a gift of stock shares of the Homestake Mining Company from the DeLong Corporation, gifts to the Institute from the estates of Lucy A. Kutz and Stephen G. Egan, and the establishment of a "War Emergency Committee." Also addresses the selling of the Institute's old premises at 23rd Street to the New York Post Graduate Medical School and Hospital. Includes correspondence with Jeremiah Milbank, in which he makes a gift to the Institute in light of the Country entering the war, a financial summary, and an authorization of corporate account.
