Abe Stark and two performers carving turkey with young clients
Description:
Caption reads, "Physical handicaps were forgotten today for a few hours at the Institute for the Crippled and Disabled's annual Thanksgiving dinner for 500 Handicapped people and their families. Abe Stark, President of the New York City Council, second from left, helped seven year old Daniella Acanfora, double leg amputee, carve the turkey. Wheelchair bound Joey Mastrovito, nine, held it firmly in place. Actresses Candace Hilligoss, left, and Joselyn McAfee, second from right, look on. The latter two actresses are from the American Theatre Wing Student Hospital Unit, which staged an hour long special entertainment after the dinner."
