A talk in which Rae discusses the validity of the experiences gone through by people who have been in the mental health system. She points out the importance of not getting over anger for what they have experienced at the hands of the health system, the dangers of involuntary treatment, and the liberating power of the self-help movement. There are handwritten notes on this copy of the speech in which Rae details her own experiences in mental hospitals, managed care, a scene from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", as well as names of individuals to whom she is speaking.
