A handwritten draft in which Rae represents the National Association of Psychiatric Survivors at a conference. Drawing off of comments from a morning session at the conference in which it was made clear to her that the voices of psychiatric survivors will not be present in discussions about a recent political initiative. Rae talks about why people actively avoid treatment and that there are many ways to approach the idea of recovery.
