Series of documents (many labelled A, B, C, etc.) in reference to Adams Family and blanket chest (also numbered 1927.1.1) Two letters from Harriet A. Hill of 288 Pleasant Street, dated two dates in November of 1927. Both letters are addressed to "Mr. Hardy" In the November 6 letter, she refers to a conversation regarding the chest, and to an enclosed photograph, which is also part of this accession. In the November 17 letter, she agrees to a loan of the chest. Two documents handwritten on same paper and by hand are also included, as well as typewritten transcriptions. One, dated 1926 refers to "Having in my possession the Continental Chest -- in which was kept the Communion Service and Church Linen of the Second Precinct Church of Cambridge, it seems fitting that it should be offered (this is crossed out and "loaned" is written in another hand) to the Arlington Historical Society, as an interesting relic of the battle between the Americans and the . . . " this is retyped in document entitled "Continental Chest." Also included is the handwritten copy "Deposition of Hannah Adams" also typewritten.
