This manuscript plan of the turnpike road from Boston to Taunton, includes comparative distances between the western and eastern routes, the latter shorter by four and a half miles. It shows several routes--Dorchester Turnpike, Blue Hill Turnpike, and Brush Hill Turnpike. The map also includes locations of bridges, rivers, ponds, meeting houses, and residents' houses.
