Description:
Taylor Armstrong Steeves poses after receiving his graduation degree. He went on to obtain a Ph. D. at Harvard University and joined the faculty as professor, where he remained until 1959 when he was recruited by the University of Saskatchewan. He served as Professor of, then Head of, the Biology Department there until his retirement in 1994 as professor Emeritus. He was an established author and editor of several publications and accumulated many honors and awards for his work in the field of plant development. Mr. Steeves passed away on September 2011 at the age of 84.
