Barbara Jean Bemis (Class of 1944) presses her lips together while listening to a speaker in a classroom. After graduation she was active in 4-H and worked for its extension service in Worcester and Hampden counties. During World War II she was a cover girl for several publications encouraging agricultural production. Later she taught home economics at Rutland's Naquag Junior High then at the Holden Big Y as a food demonstrator. She passed away in April 2000 at the age of 77.
