McCormack is writing in response to two letters of October 11th and December 12th, 1961 and explains that he did not answer the October letter sooner because he on a world tour with Arnold Palmer and Gary Player. He is enclosing a copy of the article from the January issue of Golf Magazine (not included) and expresses interest in having Mulberry working with him on golf business but states that he thinks it would be foolish of Mulberry to leave the army at this time, as he is five years away from retirement. He says if Mulberry waits five years, he will receive retirement pay as well as any moneys he would be making from the golf opperation. He states that he does not mean to discourage Mulberry because he is optimistic about the future of golf. He mentions that he began to represent Jack Nicklaus about a month ago and anticipates that he will have a fabulous career. McCormack also discusses the laundromat franchise and says he is sorry that the laundries did not work out any better for Mulberry.
