2-Piece Dress
Description:
Grey woven pinstripe on white taffeta ground; square yoke and band collar of black velvet and hook and eye closure. Center front placket with closure of 7 large shell buttons; attached pelum; watch pocket at left at waist; pleated drape of taffeta over peplum in back; caught at hem of peplum; 3/4 length sleeves with band of velvet at elbow trimmed with bow with double ruffles at cuff; bodice lined with white cotton; boned darts; sleeves lined with glazed white linen; skirt has self-waistband with hook and eye closure center back; center front panel has series of tucks form hips to below kness with band of black velvet appliqued below every fourth tuck, with velvet bow at left side; rucked side panels; poufed rear panel with black velvet bow at right above hem; 4 tiers of ruffles at hem; hem bound with grey wool tape; fully lined with tan cotton twill; drawstring center back at knee level.
