Letter from Benjamin Smith Lyman, Ichinosawa, Shinshū, Japan to Mr. Lesley
Description:
Lyman requests a favor from Mr. Lesley: to contact Mr. Heller of Heller & Brightly regarding a potential order. His numerous attempts to contact Heller regarding an undelivered order of survey instruments have been unanswered for the past two years, and Lyman needs to know if a contract for a new order can be made. He also mentions the printing of the maps for his work on the coal regions, and writes an anecdote about the efficacy of prayer.
