From a series of interviews conducted for the Linguistic Atlas of New England to document New England dialects. Hinckley Sr. discusses the Manse (54 Prospect Street, Northampton), which he ran as an inn; history of the Manse, built and formerly owned by the Stoddard family -- Hinckley Jr. (b.1913) discusses his studies at Yale. The recording was originally made on aluminum disk and is of low quality: introduced by Audrey R. Duckert.
