Graduate of UMass in 1977, founder of the Arts Extension Service, State Representative and President of the Massachusetts Senate. What led him to UMass in 1967; participation in the Marching Band as a tuba player; development of the Kappa Kappa Psi Marching Band fraternity with Tom Parker; planning and founding the Arts Extension Program at UMass; memories of Helen Perry; experience of the Music Dept. as an undergraduate student in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
