<mods:abstract>In addition to the collection housed in the library of the Dental School, there were also books, pamphlets, prints and pictures preserved in the Dental Museum, including this early text on Dentistry. The title-page engraving shows an inferior denture along with instruments including a key and a pair of forceps. The Latin motto "solatium afflictis" translates as "relief to the distressed." Titlepage engraving from Benjamin James' A Treatise on the Management of the Teeth</mods:abstract>
