Dr. W. E. B. Du Bois : Another American tragedy -- 1963
Description:
A certain Dr. Butler's discussion of the life and legacy of the recently deceased W. E. B. Du Bois; noting the irony of his dying in "disenchantment on the very day that Negroes and the nation reached their highest point of dedication to the rapid realization of his lifelong ideals"; admitting he was a "complex and controversial" man; and hoping that history be kind on him.
